Making Art Easy for Normal People
All of my life I have been interested in drawing and painting. Even as a small child my mother could give me a pencil and paper, and I would just make marks and circles etc., all over the paper. She didn't have to worry about me getting into things if I was "drawing". I was content.
I was in the third grade by the time I was told that I was an artist. So, from that point on I have created things, and it is my passion. I started the pattern company, Happy Hollow Creations, in the late 80's.
I had my own sign shop for years and still paint signs when someone wants one. During this time, I was hired as a Graphic Artist at a printing company that produced sport calendars and worked there 5 years. Then I worked at a large printing company where I retired from after 32 years.
Art seems to be my life, and I don't know what I would do without it! I draw all the time and the drawings I like I turn into patterns so I can share them with other artists.
